Marco Leonardi is the Head of Department for Economic Planning at the Office of the Prime Minister Mr. Mario Draghi. Previously Advisor to the Treasury Minister Roberto Gualtieri and Former Economic Adviser to the Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni.
Leonardi is Full Professor of Economics at the University of Milan since January 2017. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the London School of Economics. In 1999-2000 he was Visiting Scholar at the MIT Department of Economics. In the Fall 2005 he was Visiting Scholar at UC Berkeley. He is a Research Fellow of IZA. His research interests are in labour economics with particular reference to wage inequality and earnings mobility.
